Gallery Apartment

As project manager at James Wagman Architect, I oversaw the gut renovation of the main living floor and penthouse of this New York City triplex apartment from concept through construction.  The client is an art dealer who wanted to turn her divided living space into an open gallery.  To provide display space for larger paintings, we created three walls that appear to stand alone.  The new living space appears simple due to careful detail work, ranging from a flush baseboard to a replacement fire escape basket built to align with the new exterior door opening.
